I just wanted to show how there is always a way to squeeze in a workout!
I have been playing Terraria (on PC) again lately, and am just now getting into Fishing (it’s been out for a while)! There are daily fishing quests, which only take a few minutes to complete after you’re found the best locations on your map to fish. Terraria days are 24 real-world minutes long (one second real-time per minute game time),
Which leaves around 20 minutes in between each daily quest to do a quick workout, to read, or to do something (anything) else that you want to do!
Not just to exclusively to work out or exercise, but you can use this time to accomplish anything else you want to as well! On a fitness level, this is plenty of time to also do things like stretch, go outside and get some fresh air and sunshine, plan meals or meditate. This is just one example that there is always a way to squeeze in a workout without sacrificing gaming time or goals!
Normally I would take this 20 minute opportunity to do something else in-game, to cruise the Internet, check my Facebook (since I’m already on my computer), or read something on Wikipedia (convincing myself that I’m getting smarter for doing it). But it would be better if I did something more productive towards my real life goals! Even if it was just during one of those 20 minute breaks. Slap on a pedometer and see how far you can get before it’s quest time again!
I’m not saying take every single one of them away, but just one a day would be wonderful and would feel great!
So try to look for opportunities for a “break” during in between game goals, and set a timer and have at it!
